Built for golfers, by golfers — The Birdie Cage is a local space where like-minded players come to improve, connect, and chase scratch together.
We’ve kept it simple. Two bays. High-end gear. A modern industrial fit-out with just the right amount of grit. No bar, no fluff — just everything you need to put in reps, test your numbers, or play Pebble with a mate. And because we know life doesn’t always fit around tee times, we’re open from 5am to 10pm, 7 days a week.
But beyond the bays, The Birdie Cage is about building a community. We’re creating a space for the early risers, the after-work grinders, and anyone chasing a cleaner strike or better round next weekend. You can fly solo, link up with mates, or become part of a growing crew of locals who are serious about their game but don’t take themselves too seriously.
"This place is seriously next-level. I’ve been working on my swing all winter and the simulator gave me the data and feel I needed. It’s crazy accurate and super easy to use. Booking is smooth, vibes are chill — honestly, it’s my new go-to spot."
Meet Tim.
Golfer. Lawyer. Dad.
And the brains (and heart) behind The Birdie Cage.
Tim’s spent years grinding his own game — trying to squeeze in practice around work and family, watching the weather ruin range plans, and wishing there was somewhere local that actually took golf seriously without feeling elitist.
He didn’t just want a place with a net and a beer tap. He wanted data. Coaching. Real course sims. A space you could walk into solo to work on your swing, or bring your mates for a hit and a laugh after work.
That’s why he created The Birdie Cage:
A purpose-built, modern space with cutting-edge tech, where local golfers can actually get better — and have a damn good time doing it.
That’s how The Birdie Cage was born — out of love for the game, and a vision for a local community space where anyone chasing scratch (or just chasing a good time) feels welcome.
Because golf should be for everyone who wants to get better — or just wants to hang out and talk some smack while they try.
The Birdie Cage wasn’t built to be another golf hangout. It was built with a mission: to give serious players a serious space to improve. Every decision we made — from the turf we chose, to the software that powers our simulators was driven by one goal: helping golfers like you play better.
You don’t need to guess your way to a better swing. Our on-site coaches are here to guide you with feedback that’s specific, actionable, and easy to apply. Whether you’re working on fundamentals, battling a slice, or prepping for a local tournament, we’ll meet you at your level — and help you raise it.
And because our sessions use tour-grade launch monitors, every coaching tip is backed by real data. No fluff. Just smart guidance and steady progress.
This isn’t a pub with a simulator in the back. This is a golf-first space where focus and respect come standard. We’ve designed The Birdie Cage to give every player — regardless of handicap — a clean, quiet, and motivating place to train.
No background noise. No flashing lights. Just a calm vibe and a community of golfers who take the game as seriously as you do. You won’t find pool tables or party vibes here — just turf, tech, and the time you need to grow.
What separates average from exceptional? Feedback.
Our simulator bays are powered by professional-grade launch monitors, offering detailed shot tracking, club data, and performance metrics for every swing.
Hit a fade? You’ll know why. Gained 6.4 metres on your driver? You’ll know how.
We’ve invested in the best because we believe you deserve to train with tools that match your ambition. Combine that with access to over 600 world-class virtual courses, and your practise sessions will never be the same again.
