HOUSE RULES – The Birdie Cage

Welcome to The Birdie Cage, Queensland’s premium indoor golf simulator experience. These House Rules ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable space for all. By using our venue or website, you agree to follow these rules. Breaches may result in suspension or cancellation of your membership.

Access & Membership

  • Members and Coaches only. Guests must be approved and accompanied.
  • Book in advance to secure your session. Walk-ins not allowed.
  • Different membership types offer different access and benefits. Coaches are granted a licence to operate from the Facility.
  • Breach of these rules may result in suspension or cancellation of access without refund.
  • Serious breaches may result in termination of coaching rights or memberships.

Session Times and Transitions

  • Arrive at least 5 minutes before your allotted session time to ensure best utilisation of your booking
  • Bookings are available in 30-minute blocks. This can be extended to 60, 90, 120 and so on.

To ensure smooth operation of the facility:

  • Each session will conclude 3 minutes before the scheduled end time.
  • Members and coaches must promptly pack up and exit the bay to allow the next booking to start on time.
  • Late exit from a bay may result in loss of future booking privileges or penalties.

Payments & Cancellations

  • Pay in full before use. No refunds for late arrivals or no-shows.
  • No refunds are issued for online payments unless the booking is cancelled at least 48 hours before the scheduled session time.
  • If cancelled within 48 hours of the session, no refund is provided.
  • In exceptional circumstances, Birdie Cage may issue refunds, but this is at their sole discretion. Any approved refund is returned to the original credit card, provided with matching security credentials, and processed within 7 working days.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled per our Terms.

Simulator Use

  • Treat simulators and gear with care. Damage due to misuse is chargeable.
  • Use bays, simulators, and equipment only for their intended purpose.
  • Only one person in the hitting zone at a time.
  • Clean, soft-soled shoes only. Spikes are not allowed.
IMPORTANT: Only clean white unmarked balls are permitted. Any use of balls not matching this requirement will damage the impact screen and require replacement.
  • You must bring your own golf equipment and use is at your own risk.
  • Food and drink must be kept away from simulator equipment.
  • Personal belongings are your responsibility – Birdie Cage is not liable for loss or damage.

Safety & Behaviour

  • All users must follow WHS requirements and emergency procedures.
  • Report hazards, incidents, or near misses immediately to Birdie Cage management (tim@birdiecage.com.au)
  • Swing only when your bay is clear. Follow staff instructions at all times.
  • No smoking, or vaping. Disruptive or unsafe behaviour will lead to removal.
  • Offensive language, harassment, or abuse will not be tolerated.
  • Always use equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • No alcohol, drugs, or intoxicated behaviour permitted.
  • Respect all other members, staff, and coaches – no abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate conduct.

Guests & Children

  • Guests must comply with all rules. Members are responsible for their guests’ conduct.
  • Children under 16 must be supervised and may only use equipment with approval.

Media & Privacy

  • Photos or video may be taken by us for marketing. Notify staff if you don’t wish to appear.
  • Respect others’ privacy—don’t record or photograph without consent of both Birdie Cage and other members or their guests.

CCTV and Safety Monitoring

For the safety and security of all members, guests, and staff, The Birdie Cage uses OpenEye CCTV monitoring throughout the facility.

CCTV helps us:

  • Ensure a safe environment,
  • Protect equipment and property, and
  • Monitor compliance with our House Rules.

Footage is securely stored and may be reviewed if safety incidents, hazards, or breaches of rules occur.

By entering the facility, you consent to being recorded for these purposes.

Liability

  • Use of the Facility is at your own risk. We are not liable for injury or damage unless caused by our gross negligence.
  • You release The Birdie Cage from liability for any harm unless required by law.
